Wyler Clinotronic PLUS

Clinotronic PLUS

The compact inclination measuring instrument Clinotronic PLUS provides a measuring capacity of ±45 degrees. Four precisely machined exterior reference surfaces assure accuracy and repeatability of measurements in any quadrant. Selected by push-button, any units suitable for inclination measurement may be applied to the display. Even slope indication based on a relative base of selectable length is possible. Simple push-button operation automatically sets absolute as well as relative zero. The RS485 interface allows a connection to other WYLER instruments or directly to a PC using a special cable.


All indicated values are computed prior to display, by interpolation of calibration values stored. If required, an integrated calibration mode may be actuated in order to replace the stored calibration data. For this purpose, the Clinotronic PLUS ±45° must, with the aid of suitable equipment, be accurately inclined, using five-degree steps over the range of ±50 degrees.

 


The measuring principle is based on a differential capacitance measurement of a pendulum providing excellent repetition, hysteresis as well as start-up behaviour. Combined with a complex evaluation algorithm, this forms the base of a highquality handheld tool. The latest version of the reliable inclination measuring instrument comes with a number of new interesting advantages. The most important of them are:

  • Aluminium housing, hard anodised, with heavier walls for more stability.
  • Fulfils the strict CE requirements (immune to electromagnetic smog)
  • Powered by standard 1.5V batteries, allowing cost-efficient reliability all over the world

GOLF COURSES

Measuring task / Goal:
Some golf courses in England measure the flatness of the „Green“ in a simple way. A special vehicle has been constructed, on which two CLINOTRONIC are mounted in a right angles to each other.

 

Both are connected to a small printer. The green is checked according to a pre-set pattern and at each measuring point, after a short stop, the inclination angles determined in the two directions are recorded and printed.

MEASURING AND CALIBRATION LABORATORY

Measuring task:
On several measuring machines some pre-set inclinations must periodically be checked and re-adjusted if necessary.
Particularly on the notched-bar impact testing machine the set angle of the hammer is of direct influence on the possibility to obtain a reliable measuring result. This angle check can easily be done with a CLINOTRONIC and is applied by many calibration labs.

RADIO ONCOLOG / CALIBRATION ON LINAC MECHANICS

Measuring task / Goal:
The small dimensions (100x75x30 mm) and the light weight (485 Gramm) together with the 4 precise measuring bases situated around the periphery, make the CLINOTRONIC Plus the ideal instrument for the calibration task. In order to calibrate the display of the gantry angle, the true angles at the 4 major gantry coordinates (180° / 90° / 0° / 270° / 180°) must be measured. For the calibration of the collimator rotation readout, the true angles at 45° and at 315° are to be measured. The CLINOTRONIC Plus can also be used to eliminate roll of the couch and to assure that phantoms are precisely horizontal.

MEASURING OF THE INCLINATION OF THE ROAD SURFACE

Measuring task / Goal:
The inclination of the road has to be measured continuously during the placement of the road surface to ensure that the inclination remains within the tolerances. The measurements have to be made by road workers at various temperatures (summer and hot tar) and under difficult light conditions (ranging from very bright to very dark).
